Something new, anything new?!

Well not much has been happening with us lately, thus the lack of blog writing. Since New Years we have been trying to stay stress free and enjoy time together. Right before school started again we had a sports day with another couple, our good friends Jette and Carl. We had challenged them a few months ago to a family sports challenge of floorhockey, badminton and ping-pong. Whoever won 2 of the 3 sports won the whole "tournament." Well it was fun but we lost! The only sport we won was floorhockey! We are still a little bummed, because of course they are always bringing it up, but I think we'll be alright.
Just before game time!

The first weekend the kids were back at school both Søren and I were on duty working for 2 days straight. We racked up 37 hours each in 2 days! It was a fun but busy weekend with 112 kids who hadn't seen each other in almost 2 weeks!

Since then we are back into the swing of things with work and school. I am slowly preparing for the big musical project we are starting in about a week and a half. Its a huge and exciting project so I am getting excited and a bit nervous for that! This year instead of having the band and choir I am having the drama students so its going to be a new challenge. Søren is back at school driving the 1 hour (each way) drive in the very foggy and sometimes icy roads. He is keeping busy with being in charge of the lights and sound for all the school events and having some guitar and drum lessons at school.

This past weekend Søren and I went to a Praise and Worship band workshop with 3 other musicians from our church. We both play/sing in the Praise and Worship band at church and at the workshops we were able to get inspirations about how to better lead the group, how to play better together, how to make a good program with the right kinds of songs for what message we are trying to have come across, song writing and much more. It was a very fun and inspiring weekend and a great way to get to know some of the others from our church.

So now we are just relaxing on a Sunday getting ready to watch the NFL playoffs and well Tuesday I know I will be glued to CNN to watch Obamas inaguration! And well thats all for now!

What an inspiring event the inaguration of Obama was -- my hope is that the world perceives us in a far better light in the coming years. I am so excited to have a change in leadership!

Winter has been brutal this year - brrrrrr -- and I have to walk Roof twice a day -- no respite.

See you guys in July.
