We are using our previous blog page here to keep a journal of our time in the USA. It is mainly for us to have as a memory for the year, but many people have shown an interest in following our adventure, so feel free to read along!
The countdown has gone from 97 days to 0 days... Liam has been keeping track 👍
We have cleaned, raked, pulled weeds, said lots of goodbyes and now we are officially on the way to Minnesota and our USA life for a year.
The morning went well. After 2.5 hours of sleep our friends Kirsten and Inge picked us up at 3am and drove us to the airport...they sent us off with Danish flags, candy, books and lots of sweet words and hugs.
Everything went really smoothly at the Billund Airport and we were able to check our carry on luggage all the way to Minneapolis, yay!
Now we are sitting on a plane from Frankfurt and have been on the plane for an hour and haven't left yet...waiting for some box that needs to be on the plane.🙄 But we are excited to be on the way and time for a nap soon. We arrive at 2pm Minnesota time (9pm dansk tid)...we are 7 hours ahead of DK. My Dad will pick us up at the airport and then our life in the USA really begins. More to come the next few days as we settle into our new house etc. Prayers for safe travels and patience are very welcome!
