Almost time

The countdown has gotten to 2 days now! Crazy.  Our house looks like a disaster - but our yard is looking nice.  A nice young couple is going to be renting our house for the year - and we get to put our things in the three bedrooms they won't need, so it has been a bit less stressful then otherwise thought.  We made a list at the beginning of our "vacation" about what things need to be done.  Three columns in all - one for the task - one for who - and one for when! There are a lot of check marks now!

The boys are excited.  They look forward to seeing all the family and friends in the USA and to embark on our adventure of a new house, new school, new church, new friends, new daily rythyms, new sports teams, new furniture, new car...yeah lots of new things.  The are however not too excited about saying goodbye to our dog, Zoey, on Tuesday.  Zoey is going to live in the country with our friends Jette and Carl and their girls, and also with Kirsten in Skjern.  So we know she will have a great time, but we sure are going to miss her!  I guess you could say the boys are living in the moment, if that is what is filling their minds so far.

To just give an otherwise short update on our summer so far.   Benjamin really enjoyed Song and Music camp at Sørens boarding school the first week of summer.  He got to go with his best buddy Isak, and had a great time playing music and doing fun things all week.  Liam was also at camp for a few days, and enjoyed activities and over nights with his friends.   Silas just got home from a 14 day Confirmation camp and he absolutely loved it!!  He really enjoyed living at the boarding school (a different boarding school than Sørens, but he will be attending the boarding school in a year.. crazy 😧)

Søren has had a few extra challenges come up at work, but has taken the last few days mostly free to get the last things done.

I've been on vacation 2 weeks now and I'm quite bored with all the practical tasks, but enjoying evenings with friends.

Everything has come together with my permanent visa situation, insurance challenges, housing changes, and more...so the day is finally arriving, yay!

Here are some pictures of our packing and cleaning. The boys have been a huge help the last few days!
