Eating pie and watching Football!
The weekend only went up from there. Friday night we went to Esbjerg, where Søren is from and where his Mom lives now. We had an after party for the Show I was in and Søren was able to spend time with his Mom. I had a wonderful time seeing the Show friends again. Its always fun to be together with theater people! They think of the craziest things! Someone wrote an 8 page song about all the funny stuff that had happened during the show. It was really fun!
Then Saturday we drove up to Aalborg (3 hours north in Jutland) for Thanksgiving round 2! Our friends Jim and Maria live there and they are also a Dane/American couple like us. Our other friend Jenny who is also from the US came too so that we could celebrate Thanksgiving, American style!
Before the feast could begin we we're asked to have an interview for the newspaper of the Christian Organization Jenny and Jim work for. The four of us, Jim, Jenny, Søren and I were all on Watermark together and have decided to move to Denmark so this reporter asked if he could interview us for an article. We were asked questions about why we moved to Denmark, what we do and what we think of living in Denmark. It was fun and kind of exciting. The reporter also thought that it was interesting that we were celebrating Thanksgiving together and took some funny pictures of us!

Later that night 3 more Americans came over to enjoy the Thanksgiving feast. Jim and Maria had met them in Aalborg and invited them, knowing that it is weird not celebrating Thanksgiving as an American! It was so fun, we had never met them before but we had our country in common so it was easy! It was a great meal and yet again another great Thanksgiving!
Well now that Thanksgiving is officially over I guess it is time to decorate for Christmas. Søren and I used Sunday evening to set up the few Christmas decorations we have. It was really fun and exciting to get into the Christmas mood! We just need some snow now!!!

It just isn't Christmas without a snow village!

Glædelig Jul!
(Merry Christmas)

I'm so glad you got your pumpkin pie after all. I hosted a relatively small T-Day -- your Dad and Liz, and some friends -- I made some changes to the menu -- but basically the same. I skipped the trifle this year and made a chocolate pecan pie -- it was delish. We'll miss you at Christmas -- but I got to see you a couple of times over the Summer, so...
Ellen, Jonathan and the kids won't be coming for Christmas. I've decorated a bit -- but didn't do as much this year.
My tree goes up next week.
Miss you guys.
